Striker Scramble Is On As Sven Names Squad

No alarms and no surprises as Sven named his 23 for the March 1st friendly against Uruguay.

The back four and midfield picks itself these days, so the most interesting area for this friendly will be the forward line. Michael Owen is injured (again) so it's a straight fight between Peter Crouch, Jermaine Defoe and Darren Bent to partner Wayne Rooney.

With Sven set to take four strikers to Germany, and the names of Owen, Rooney and Crouch set in stone, it's Bent and Defoe who have the most to prove in this last game before the final 23 is named in May.
