FIFA have decided that the smart ball being tested by adidas to prevent refereeing blunders like the one shown here is not ready for prime time and won't be used in next summer's World Cup. While Adidas is happy with the technology's progress, FIFA want 100% accuracy before it deploys the ball on the big stage.
But does that mean human refs won't be used as well?
