Marco Materazzi isn't ready to shake hands with Zinedine Zidane just yet.

"It could happen one day but all the conditions will have to be met," Materazzi told French radio station RTL. "At the end of the day, it was me who received the headbutt, not him. I have apologised. Now I am waiting..."

Looks like he'll have to keep waiting. The way I see it, Materazzi insulted Zidane's sister, so Zidane head-butted Materazzi. Now they're even.

They're clearly never going to best buddies, they're very different personalities. You can see that in the way they play: Zidane the temperamental artiste, and Materazzi the head it and kick it away center half.

So, how about we just go back to wondering why Liverpool are playing so badly....
