Clint Dempsey is not happy. Seems MLS rejected a $1.5 million offer for him from Charlton Athletic, condemning Deuce to another Fall playing on the gridiron marked fields of MLS. The league's argument was that they want Clint "to get what he's worth," which is ironic as he's earning $80,000 per year in MLS. You read that right, per year. He'd easily make that in a month at Charlton.
Dempsey was interviewed on the occasionally excellent World Soccer Daily radio show this very week, and the man from Nacogdoches had plenty to say on the subject. Click the link below to hear the clip.
