Worldcup Teams Increase Adidas Sales

Leading sports company, Adidas has increased popularity with consumers due to the recent World Cup in South Africa, where the company sold thousands of World Cup soccer kits containing replica shirts, boots and soccer balls of the 12 teams that played in the World Cup soccer. The rival US sport company known as Nike, another well known brand for sports equipment and appeal, are disappointed that their sales in comparison have decreased within the last few months leading up to the World Cup.

The recent craze of World Cup fever has pushed sales of Adidas merchandise by 11% worldwide. The company anticipates that this increase in sales will continue to grow for at least another year, as more consumers will associate the brand as a good quality brand for sports accessories and equipment.
