The Reds are on an 11-match clean sheet run at the moment, but Sao Paolo slipped past Al-Ittihad 3-2 to reach the final themselves.
Sunday's winner takes home £3 million and Liverpool are hoping to attract investment based on a good showing in Yokohama.
