Wake Forest To Host August 29 Soccer Clinic

On August 29, the 10th annual Walt Chyzowych Memorial Fund Soccer Clinic will be held. This event will be hosted by Salem's Wake Forest men's soccer team who will also be conducting the clinic together with the team's coaching staff as well as the members of the Twin City Youth Soccer Association.

The one-day soccer clinic is open to both boys and girls aged four to fourteen years old. Admission is free of charge. This much-awaited event will be held at the Spry stadium this Sunday from 5 to 6 p.m. Participants are advised to bring their own drinking water and soccer ball.

After the hour-long session, the Wake Forest team players will be signing autographs for fans while season game tickets will be offered at discounted rates.

The Walt Chyzowych Memorial Fund Soccer Clinic was started by Ralph Lundy in 1995. It is held in a different state every year to commemorate the great contributions of Walt Chyzowych (known as "a pioneer for American collegiate coaches") to the nation's soccer education program.
