Milan striker and Joaquin Phoenix/Jude Law doppelganger Christian Vieri looks to be finally leaving the city of Milan. After weeks of denying the sulking striker who moved his boots from the Rossoneri side of Milan to Inter's last year is leaving the club, Inter's vice president Adriano Galliani admitted this weekend Vieri is likely to leave soon. The hottest tip for a destination at the moment is Monaco, though there have been mumbles about Vieri going to Spurs on a free.
At 32 Vieri is looking for one last World Cup, and isn't getting a lot of solid playing time at Inter at the moment. Monaco, in need of another aging striker after losing Morientes last year, may give him some of that. With Emmanuel Adebayor facing sanctions from Monaco for not reporting back to training on time from national duty and likely to be away participating in the African Nations Cup, Monaco could use Vieri as a replacement.
