Video: Some Insane Polish Goalkeeping

Filed in archive Video on October 15, 2007

This is from Poland Under 21s 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Spain Under 21s. The root cause of the defeat was keeper Bialkowski's absolutely insane decision to play keepy uppy on the edge of his own area, depsite the presence of Spanish strikers. That's bad enough, but when it looked like he might get caught Bialkowski tried to use a sly hand to get himself out of trouble. It didn't work and he got himself a red card for deliberate handball. Say what you like about Paul Robinson, but at least he's never tried this.
