Gather round and gaze in slack-jawed awe at this video of Ronaldinho's goal for Barcelona against Villarreal.
Not only does he destroy the Yellow Submarine's offside trap and marking (watch him burst from between two players, who both think they've got him covered) and not only does he spin like a ballerina before unleashing the old overhead/bicycle kick, the great thing about this goal is how he uses his chest. Mortal players use their chest to cushion the ball and bring it down. Ronaldinho uses his chest to keep the ball in the air, giving him long enough to pirouette and unleash his volley. Genius, no?
The best thing is it makes everyone look so happy (Villarrael fans excepted). Ronaldinho has a big smile on his face (as usual) but so do Gio, Rijkaard and just about everyone in the stand, especially that little blonde kid (around the 1:00 mark). But my favourite is the two guys in leather jackets, both rubbing their heads in disbelief.
Spotted on The Offside and CaughtOffside and probably some other sites with Offside in the title.
