Video and Analysis: The Paul Robinson Gary Neville Incident Against Croatia
Filed in archive England by daryl on October 12, 2006
1. There was probably a divot from an earlier goal kick that caused the bobble.
2. Paul Robinson should have taken a first touch, he had plenty of time.
3. At first it appears harsh that Gary Neville will be credited (debited?) with the own goal ...
4. ... but even my Sunday league manager tells us: "when you pass back to the keeper, aim away from the goal."
5. Apart from this incident, Paul Robinson had a fantastic game, making more than his share of excellent reflex saves.
