Remember Tony Meola? The 37 year old goalkeeper made his debut for USA in 1988 and played his last international game in 2002, leaving him stranded on 99 caps. Now USA coach Bruce Arena has called up his old friend (Meola played for Arena at University of Virginia) for the friendly against Jamaica so Meola can finally reach the 100 cap milestone.
Is this a good idea? I'm sure Meola thinks so, but there is an argument that if Meola only earned 99 caps, then that's all he should have.
