"The Times" Readers Hate Ashley Cole

Seems Arsenal fans aren't the only ones sick of hearing about Ashley Cole

The Times decision to serialise Ashley Cole's whining biography, hasn't proven too popular with regular readers.

As spotted on The Times website by the magnificent folks at Mediawatch, here are a few comments from unhappy readers:

"I cannot believe that The Times is giving column inches to this nonsense. I started to read the article but felt sick to my stomach by the incredible and abhorrent avarice on display...

...Shame also on The Times for further lining his bulging pockets by paying for the serialisation rights. It should be beneath a paper with a reputation for quality reporting to further inflate this self-important person's ego."

"What on earth is a quality paper like The Times doing publishing this drivel? Ashely Cole is clearly a greedy, money-grabbing glory-hunter who likes to air his ill-informed opinions in public. I'm surprised you have chosen to add to his coffers."

"Has The Times now moved so far downmarket, into the realm of the Mail and Express, that it is paying vast sums of money to the likes of Ashley Cole for his tawdry, grubby Memoirs?"
