The New Messi?

Leo Messi's not even done being the new Maradona, yet Barcelona already have his anointed successor ready to go. Whatever. It's best to ignore all that "the new" stuff and just keep your eye out for good new footballers. The lad scoring below is Bojan Krkic Perez. He's 16, and has recently moved up from Barca's youth ranks to the B team. Below he's scoring for the first team in a recent friendly against Ali-Alhi.

But spare a thought for the man setting up the goal with some fancy footwork. That's Javier Saviola, himself dubbed the new somebody or other (probably Maradona) when he joined Barca from river Plate as a 19 year old in 2001. His contract is up in the summer and there seems to be no new offer on the table.
