A global journey…

This is Lee McArdle scoring for Wales Under 16s against Scotland Under 16s. So it's not top flight football, but that doesn't mean it's not absolutely incredible. He's nearly at the halfway line, but he strikes it with both pace and swerve, straight into the far corner. It's a little bit reminiscent of the goal that made Bobby Carlos superfamous at Le Tournoi in 1997, below.

Except McArdle was further away, and Wales' kids vs Scotland's kids is probably more competitive than what was basically just a practice tournament.
