I warned you to hold onto your hats. Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano have signed for West Ham from Corinthians... permanently. Earlier rumours indicated this was a loan move, and even that was a coup for the Hammers, so this is ridiculous.

From West Ham's website:

"The pair have been signed for an undisclosed fee and put pen to paper on permanent contracts with the Club this afternoon. All other aspects of the transfers will remain confidential and undisclosed."

The only thing that would worry me if I was a West Ham fan is that the length of contract is being kept under wraps, suggesting this may be a short term deal. Either way, Upton Park just got very exciting.

Hammers fans can get a good look at their new heroes when the pair play for Argentina against Brazil this Sunday.
