If the Telegraph are to be believed (and I don't see any reason why not) then the details of West Ham's Tevez and Mascherano deal are as follows:
- The deal was a free transfer from Corinthians to West Ham, although West Ham paid around £5 million in agents' fees.
- A clause in the contract specifies that West Ham have to sell if a bid comes in at any time in the next five years.
- The transfer met Fifa regulations and the players are on normal West Ham salaries.
- Georgian billionaire Badri Patarkatsishvili 'owns' 100 per cent of Tevez and 50 per cent of Mascherano, the other half being 'owned' by Globo, the Brazilian television company.
- Patarkatsishvili has described the West Ham deal as "rental", though a five-year lease would be more accurate.
Seems the best hope of Tevez and Mascherano staying at West Ham is if the suggested takeover by Middle Eastern billionaires takes place, giving the club enough clout to purchase the players outright. Otherwise I don't see them sticking around too long.

Kia has quoted the deal for tevez and mascherano is a permanent deal!
Therefor, "RENTAL WITH LEASE IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS IF ANOTHER CLUB BIDS IS NOT PERMANENT IS IT!!"
Also they have signed FOUR YEAR CONTRACTS, NOT FIVE!!
Its all crap in papers, just gotta write some crap to sell em, well, well done but you aint fooling me!!
All you got to remember is it is a mystery at the moment to how the deal was processed by concerning tevez and mascherano, they have moved to west ham on a permanent deal just like any other football transfer and contract on a four year deal!
So telegraph why dont you write about someone else, this west ham deal is old news mate, Pardew cleared this up in the press conference, so bike it pricks!!

And all of this goes to the owners, nothing to west ham????
Hardly likely is it?
The telegraph article is pure speculation. Far more likely that West Ham have some form of equity share in these players.
