A global journey…

Sven is looking to get an England B international fixture off the ground, because he's frustrated by the six subs only limit imposed on A friendlies. Putting aside that the six changes only rule exists because of Eriksson's abuse of substitutions in friendlies, the idea is to give all the players on his World Cup squad a run out between the end of the Premiership season and the start of the World Cup.

So, assuming Sven's established first eleven (you all know it) will get their kicks in the full international friendlies against Hungary and Jamaica, what constitutes an England B team? My guess for this fixture (which is still just an idea) would be:

GK: James

RB: Young

LB: Konchesky

CB: King

CB: Carragher

RM: Shaun Wright-Phillips

LM: Stewart Downing(?)

CM: Michael Carrick

CM: Jermaine Jenas

FC: Peter Crouch

FC: Jermaine Defoe
