Sven: Rooney Can Captain England

Sven Goran Eriksson has suggested that Wayne Rooney can captain England one day. Eriksson dismissed concerns about Rooney's temperament, saying "there isn't player in the world who's perfect."Maybe not, but they don't all get sent off for sarcastically applauding a referee to his face. Not the actions of a captain. Sven seems to be have confused the concepts of 'captain' and 'best player'. How else to explain his making Michael Owen vice captain? Owen's a great player, but he's not a leader and had no captaincy experience before being handed the England armband.
Sven's reason to suport his argument is even more worrying. Apparently, Rooney is captaincy material because "he's in charge of the quiz-show in the dressing room." I think the whole fake sheik thing has destroyed Sven's sanity.
