Solskjaer Calls it Quits

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer retired from football today after finally admitting defeat to that persistent knee injury. He's been with Manchester United over 10 years, scoring 92 goals in 235 appearances. Not too shabby.
My favourite thing about Solskjaer wasn't just the whole supersub thing, it was the reasoning behind it. Alex Ferguson once said that Solskjaer makes such an impact from the bench because he sits there studying the game before coming on, as opposed to just goofing around on the bench.
He's popular at Man Utd, not least because that Champions League winning goal in 1999 and for refusing to leave even when he could have been guaranteed first team football elsewhere (Tottenham bid 5.5 million at one point.) But he's also popular with neutrals probably because he was never involved in anything dodgy off the field, was never dirty on the field and never complained about playing time, even when he wasn't getting any.
