A global journey…

After an eternity of headlines about how Liverpool were close to a deal with 21-year old Danish defender Daniel Agger (since last summer technically), the deal was finally nailed down yesterday. The transfer season has been so dull, and the wait on Agger was soooo long (not as long as for Mark Gonzales, though) that this constitutes interesting news. Granted, Agger is supposedly a rising talent, but frankly no one had heard of him until recently.

The only drama was when Spurs tried to upset the deal, probably only because they play the Reds this Saturday and wanted to distract them. Now this deal is complete, we have only to watch the paint dry until February or figure out who will pay the most for Theo Walcott. Oh, and Arsenal signed the new Vieira. Watch this space for more on that topic.
