Nothing illustrates the Premiership's great divide better than transfer talk. While Chelsea look set to land Shevchenko in a Gallas plus moolah swap deal, their less illustrious opponents are duking it out over Crystal Palace's Andy Johnson.
Both Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic have had bids accepted by Palace, and 'the best player in the Championship' will be keen to return to the top flight. No disrespect to Johnson, he's a fine striker (and a lot stronger than he looks), but can you imagine Abramovich dipping into his pockets for a player once deemed no more than a make-weight in Clinton Morrison's transfer to Birmingham?
