Seal Hacked Down

Remember Kerlon, the young Brazilian famous for his seal dribble? He runs with the ball while balancing it on his head. I'm not sure how effective it is but I am sure that opposition defenders don't take kindly to it, and one was sent off yesterday for hacking down Kerlon mid-circus trick.

The above footage is from cruzeiro's derby against Atletico Mineiro yesterday. Go to the 1:30 mark and you'll see Kerlon try his move for Cruzeiro and AM defender Coelho's uncompromising response. Cruzeiro eventually won the derby 4-3, but AM goalscorer Marinho had a word of warning for the youngster. "I don't think he should do that in a derby," he said. "I hope he learns, he could have got hurt."
