Ronaldinho: A Hat-trick

Ronaldinho, Barcelona's Brazilian superstar for those of you who have been watching some lesser sport for the past three years, collected his third major award today, being named FIFA World Player of the Year. This goes on the mantle alongside European Player of the Year and FIFPro World Player of the Year.

This is saying something about the quality of a player who, love or hate his teamd and national side, can light up a match like few other players in recent memory. Add to that a generally likeable personality (which can't always be said of scowling Stevie Gerrard or Frank Lampard), and it;s easy to understand how he scored this trifecta of major awards.
