Manchester City's unsettled striker Robinho has sealed a loan move to his old club Santos. The Brazilian club will take him for 6 months.

The young Brazilian show-boater broke transfer records when he arrived at Man City for a record amount of £32.4 million from Real Madrid. Despite being loved in the Spanish-speaking world of football, he failed to hit it off in England, and none of the promise offered from his performances in Spain in South America was carried to the Premier League. With a notoriously bad away form during his months with new-kids-on-the-block City, it looks as if his first and last goal of the season for his team was, ironically, away in one of the least attractive stadiums he must have ever played in, the 4-2 win over Scunthorpe Utd.
He was linked all through this transfer window to Barcelona, who were apparently willing to make him the highest paid footballer in Europe. We wish him luck, however, back home with Santos.
