Robbie Keane's Irish Captaincy Is A Mistake

I'm not convinced that Steve Staunton's decision to make Robbie Keane captain of Ireland is a good move. He may be Ireland's all time top scorer but that doesn't mean he should wear the armband.
Seems Staunton has got the same disease as Sven, the one makes managers think their star player should be captain. Not only does Keane have no captaincy experience, he's also a forward. A defender or midfielder can see the whole field and boss the game accordingly but Keane will be stranded up front.
Above all, how can the other Irish players respect a captain with the worst goal clebration in the history of football?
