Premiership got West Ham penalty right

Sheffield United and Wigan are both looking into legal action over the Premiership's decision not to dock West Ham any points for the now officially dodgy transfers of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano. Blades chairman Kevin McCabe said: "We took this course of action to try to protect ourselves should we suffer as a consequence of this bizarre decision."Charlton and Fulham are also looking to the law.
Talk about preparing yourself for failure! How about trying to win your remaining games and avoiding relegation the normal way, rather than getting all your relegation excuses ready. And here's my $0.02 on the whole points deduction thing: the Premiership got it right. Sort of. By their own rules, West Ham SHOULD have been docked points, but my feeling is that it's always an unusually cruel punishment to take points away because of administrative problems. Maybe Tevez did contribute to West Ham winning a few points, but what about the other 10 guys on the pitch?
