Kicking off the inaugural Player of the Week pick is Liverpool stick bug Peter Crouch. After all the grief we has given over the last six months for his scoring drought, Crouch not only broke his duck in the last month, he served it up with a side of orange sauce. Crouchie has potted goals in Liverpool's last three league matches, including goals this week at Everton and against West Brom. He deserves credit for persisting, and becoming even more consistent at his job. Anyone who saw his goal against Everton can see he is a man playing with confidence.
A runner up for the Player of the Week for me is West Brom keeper Tomasz Kuszczak, who put in a stellar performance versus the Reds this weekend. Even in defeat his acrobatics were worth a watch.
