Pele: Ronaldinho Still Has A Lot To Learn

image: cnnsi.com

Rather bizarrely, Pele has said that Ronaldinho still needs to prove himself at the World Cup. "The World Cup will be a major challenge for him. Of course, he's a world class player. But in a tournament like the World Cup he still has a lot to learn," said the old man. I can sort of see where he's coming from. Though Ronaldinho already has a World Cup winners medal, and played a prominent role in the 2002 win (remember that goal against England?) this World Cup is the first where Ronaldinho is the big name, and that brings added pressure.

At the same time, am I the only one getting sick of Pele's random proclamations? Yes, he was the greatest footballer ever (maybe?) but as a pundit he's juts awful. The two England players that caught his eye in the last 10 years were Nicky Butt and Steve McManaman. For me this is all you need to know about Pele the pundit.

Pele u were great not the greatest you can just about talk. Ronnie is an experienced player therefore he would have expected and anticipated the pressure. Something when wrong he accepted it, apologised for it and moved on. You can just shut up about him still havin a lot to learn!!
