Champions League
by on April 29, 2005
Liverpool's chances of playing in next year's Champions League were dealt another blow when UEFA said the competition would not be devalued by the absence of the defending champions.
With a fourth-place finishing in the English Premier League increasingly unlikely, Anfield have been holding out hope they could qualify for next year's top club competition by winning it this season. I hope this had not done too much damage to the team spirit.
Elsewhere, Chelsea's Mourinho to order Lampard to be rested, in preparation for next week Champions League final. This is going to be an exciting game! Who do you think will win? My bet is on Liverpool.
