Neville Must Realise Actions Have Consequences

Liverpool fans attacked the ambulance carrying Manchester United midfielder Alan Smith, following his horrific leg break in the clubs FA Cup tie. They threw missiles and attempted to overturn the Ambulance.

Part of the blame for this ridiculous behaviour lies with Gary Neville, who ran the length of the pitch to taunt Liverpool fans following Rio Ferdinand's goal in a previous encounter. After he was fined £5,000 for his actions Neville complained that it's all part of the game but he must now realise how stupid it is to inflame an already explosive situation, as Smith is lucky Liverpool fans didn't succeed in overturning his ambulance.
