Mourinho takes over at Inter

Inter have finally announced that Jose Mourinho is their new manager. It was the worst kept secret in world football but it is now official.
Mourinho is a colourful character who brings mixed opinions, controversy, but more important for Inter, success, wherever he goes.
At Porto, he took the team to European glory for the first time. At Chelsea he took the team to the Premier League title for the first time in fifty years. At Inter it is slightly different. He will be taking over a club with three successive Serie A titles behind them. The only way he can be truly successful is by bringing back their former European glory. That is a tough job, even for the 'special one'.
The way Inter lost to Liverpool in this season's Champion League showed that they have fallen some way behind the best in Europe. Whether Mourinho can bridge that gap remains to be seen, but of all the managers in the world, he may have as good a chance as anyone.
Most people seem to think that Mourinho will raid his old club for some of their best players. It is possible that Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard and Ricardo Cavalho could easily follow their old boss to the San Siro. There is no doubt that Mourinho likes to surround himself with players that he knows and trusts. Many players made the move from Porto to Chelsea when he took over at Stamford Bridge.
The one thing that is absolutely certain is that Inter are in for exciting times. Jose Mourinho is the type of character that has to be involved in the game at the top level. It is great to see him back.
