MLS vs Competitive Hot-Dog Eating

Just as Gazza's move to Lazio heralded the arrival of Serie A on Channel 4 (and God bless Gazza for giving us James Richardson's Relentless
sarcasm) so Beckham's move to LA Galaxy has upped Channel 5's coverage of MLS. Even better it's being presented by Tim Lovejoy (formerly) of Soccer AM fame.
There's a clip from "David Beckham's Soccer USA" above, and it looks half decent.
The bizarre thing is that this sort of magazine show is exactly what MLS needs in America. There are live Thursday night games on ESPN2 and Saturday night games on Fox Soccer Channel, but a weekly magazine show with highlights and a bit of analysis could be just the ticket on one of the sports channels. If ESPN can show things like Hot-Dog Eating (and they do) then why not a soccer magazine show?
