What's Alex Ferguson doing? Probably trying to figure out where to spend his Wednesday nights now that his team have bailed not only out of the Champions League, but out of Europe altogether finishing 3rd in their group. Beaten cleanly 2-1 by Benfica, Ferguson's team is going from bad to worse.

The Glazers took a day to make their views known, and didn't exactly come out and hug Fergie. Former South Korea manager Guud Hiddink, now at PSV Eindhoven, has been closely linked with a possible opening in the manager's chair today, and names like Fabio Capello, also linked with Real Madrid this week, have also been thrown about.
