Filed in archive General by on May 01, 2005

Manchester United recorded their biggest league win of the season with a 4-0 victory at Charlton to keep the pressure on arsenallinks in the race for the runners-up spot in the Barclays Premiership.

Paul Scholes and Darren Fletcher scored one each before the break, Alan Smith and Wayne Rooney completing the scoring midway through the second period. It is quite true that with Roy Keane in the team, Man Utd is a better team.

Else where, Tottenham kept their European hopes alive with a 5-1 victory over Aston Villa at White Hart Lane. Frederic Kanoute scored a brace. Ledley King,
Andy Reid and Stephen Kelly all scored for Tottenham, while Gareth Barry scored a consolation for Villa.
