Kanu: The New Di Canio

At time of writing, the joint top scorers in the Premiership are Portsmouth's Nwankwo Kanu and West Ham's Bobby Zamora, with 4 each. A pretty unlikely duo.
Zamora never looked a Premiership striker after his big move to Tottenham but the step down to West Ham seems to be paying off. It's hard out there for a young striker, and sometimes it takes a while to find a club that suits.
Kanu's start to the season is even more surprising. When the man with the best first name in football left Arsenal, he looked to be facing a steady but inevitable decline. Joining Bryan Robson's West Brom seemed to confirm that. But, like Paolo Di Canio before him, Kanu has found a new lease of life under Harry Redknapp, the Fairy God Mother of enigmatic forwards.
