Word is that Chelsea and England captain John Terry is all set to become the Premiership's top earner. According to this JT's new contract will stuff his bank account (which must be in decent shape anyway) with £135,000 every week.
Like all footballers wages, that's a ridiculous amount, but good luck to him. In the increasingly galactico-esque Chelsea dressing room, Terry is the last link to the old school. I especially hope recent reports that he went apesh*t crazy after losing to Middlesbrough are true (scroll down to "rumour of the day" if you click that link). Even if it's not true, the fact that it's believable says it all.

Amazing that the last link to the old school is a player that is 25 years old. Granted he looks 42.
