A global journey…

Is Ramos losing the plot?

After The sacking of Martin Jol early last season, Juande Ramos must be looking over his shoulder. He has overseen Tottenham's worst start to a season in fifty-three years.

With just two points from six games, Tottenham are in a desperate situation and their fans are beginning to express some dissatisfaction with the manager. They were angry yesterday when Ramos replaced his lone striker Pavlyuchenko with Darren Bent when the side were already 2-0 down.

Ramos says that he has no worries about his position. Asked if he had the confidence of his chairman and board, he said:

"Absolutely. We speak regularly and everyone is aware of our delicate position. Whether I survive is something for the chairman and the board to decide but I'm not hurt by the fans' abuse. What hurts is not winning matches."

Maybe leaving one up front on his own when you are 2-0 down is one way of ensuring that you don't win matches?!

Ramos is a great manager with a great record, but for whatever reason, he appears to be losing the plot a little at White Hart Lane.

Spot on – sometimes a manager just doesn’t fit in and it looks like Ramos doesn’t!
