Glazer Forced Cutbacks At United

The Guardian are reporting that Malcolm Glazer forced all non first team Manchester United players and staff to pay for their own Carling Cup final
tickets this season, at a cost of £72. Usual procedure was to reward all squad members with complimentary tickets to cup finals, including flights and accommodation to the 1999 Champions League Final in Barcelona.
This cheap small minded diktat even applied to players like Richie Jones had to shell out even though he'd played for United in earlier rounds. While Glazer may have saved himself a couple thousand pounds (or are United's finances done in dollars now?) this cheapness does nothing for team spirit at Manchester United, serving only to make the non first team players feel second rate.
