We must sound like the freddy Adu fan club here, but he has been in the news a lot lately. Following its nasty World Cup draw versus the US, Italy and the Czech Republic in one of two Groups of Death, Ghana has attracted a bit of attention. Granted, it is a team that features a midfield Michael Essien and Stephen Appiah, but the team is also interested in calling up Freddy to play for the Black Stars in the World Cup as we mentioned here. The US looks to put the stops on that effort though.

Also interested in Ghana is Marcel Desailly, who was born in Ghana but played for France, anchoring its 1998 winning side.

This could turn out to be the group to watch.
