A global journey…

Fulham have completed the signing of defender Fredrik Stoor from Rosenborg. The twenty-four year old defender has joined for an undisclosed fee. He has eight Swedish international caps.

Stoor is Fulham manager Roy Hodgson's eighth signing of the summer following John Pantsil and Bobby Zamora from West Ham, Mark Schwarzer, Andranik Teymourian, Zoltan Gera, David Stockdale and Toni Kallio.

In what has been a busy close season at Craven Cottage Fulham are also expected to sign striker Andrew Johnson from Everton in the near future after agreeing an eight-figure fee for the England international.

There is no doubt that the Fulham side needed to be revamped after a pretty poor showing last season. Only an exceptional run in the last few weeks saw them retain their Premier League status.

The question I would ask is whether Roy Hodgson is making exactly the same mistake that was made by his predecessor, Lawrie Sanchez. Last summer was busy in West London as well as Sanchez bought in a number of new players. The problem was that the players he bought were not Premier League standard. The fans knew it, but he carried on.

I wonder if the Fulham fans are happy with the purchases made over the past few weeks.
