Ruud van Nistelrooy's recent transfer to Real Madrid leaves me wondering if they really need him. With Raul, Robinho and Cassano already on the books, not to mention everyone's favourite chubby World Cup top scorer, surely the money would be better spent elsewhere?
The recent signings of Cannavaro and Emerson had suggested an end to big-name signings for the sake of shirt sales, but this a step back in the wrong direction.
