After Peter Crouch's game-turning cameo for England against Uruguay I'm convinced he'll make a name for himself in Germany this summer. That makes two consecutive international friendlies where Crouch has entered the fray with England trailing and left the field with a win.
His height will attract a certain novelty media attention but the rest of the world will learn to respect the big man after he leaves the England dugout and changes a big game. Sven Goran Eriksson said after the Uruguay game "Peter Crouch showed tonight that he's very important to the team even if he starts on the bench." Sven has been (very) deservedly criticised for lacking a Plan B when things don't go England's way, but he's found a solution in Crouch.
