Chelsea clinched the Barclays Premiership title.
Filed in archive General on May 1, 2005

Chelsea match-winner Frank Lampard struck twice as the Blues secured their first title in 50 years with a 2-0 victory at Bolton.

Blues captain John Terry felt title success was fully deserved. He said: 'It is the best feeling ever. It's been a long time coming, the supporters have been waiting a long time and they fully deserve it. We did not start too well in the first half and we got a bit of a telling off. The response was perfect.'
