Gabby Agbonlahor has been lighting up the Premiership for Aston Villa, and is in the England Under-21 squad for today's game against Germany. But he could still play for nigeria, or even Scotland, until he plays for England's senior team. Though Agbonlahor was born in Birmingham, his mum is Scottish and his dad Nigerian.
This is always an interesting question. Agbonlahor maybe isn't quite ready for senior international football, but he's clearly a player who very likely will be in the future (he turns 20 next Friday).
So, would it be worth giving him a call up just to be on the safe side, as Under 21 boss Peter Taylor has suggested? Or should England wait until he's actually ready to play, by which point it could be too late?

I’m Nigerian, and I say let him play for whom he wants. I was quite pissed off when the NFA invited him. Did we develop him?
