10 New Premiership Signings To Watch

The good old Beeb have given us a list of 10 New Premiership Players To Watch. It's not all the usual suspects (Ballack, Shevchenko etc) but players that the casual soccer fan might not be aware of. Two names very familiar to Soccer Weblog are Joleon Lescott (pictured with wonky hairline just about visible) and Seol Ki-Hyeon, both former Wolves players who left this summer for bigger paychecks and a better standard of football at Everton and Reading respectively.

I predict Lescott to make the bigger impact; he's a big, aggressive defender and just about good enough on the ball. Seol was occasionally magnificent in a Wolves shirt, but his English lessons must have stopped at the letter B as he never learned consistency.

One name I must confess I've never heard before is 20 year old central defender gabriel Zakuani. According to the article, Fulham paid Leyton Orient £1 million of Mohamed Al Fayed's money for the Congolese international.
